In honor of National Youth HIV AIDS Awareness Day, The Reunion Project hosted a community watch party of the documentary film, “We’re Still Here” (2015), a documentary film by Grissel Granados and John Thompson. It shares the untold stories of the first generation of children who were born with HIV in the 1980s and 1990s. The film follows director Grissel Granados as she embarks on her own journey to seek out other people who were born with HIV, and create a community where it hadn’t existed before. The film features artist, poet, and advocate the late Mary Bowman. The Reunion Project wishes to thank the artist Farah Jeune, for use of their graphic of Mary Bowman in our promotional materials.
